About Me

I'm a passionate and empathetic gamer, with a huge knowledge about games and gaming culture. I love all types of games, from platformers to RPGs, first-person shooters to third-person action adventure, AAA to indie. This lifelong passion has fostered lots of creativity I can only express by working on games myself.

I started at Howest DAE in 2022. I am driven by my strong interest in games and human psychology, both of which I have a knack for. When faced with the choice, I ended up picking games, however I love to integrate psychological principles into game design. After all, games are made for people, and understanding how players think and feel makes for better design. This crossover inspired me to write my graduation thesis Game Over, Try Again? - A Psychological Analysis of Motivational Strategies for Game Design to Maintain Player Motivation, where I attempted to combine both interests into a very well received research document.

After successfully completing my internship at Salty Lemon as a 3D modeler and graduating at DAE in 2025, I wrote another thesis Adaptive Checkpoints for Flow State Optimization in Video Games for my Master of Science in Game Technology at the Breda University of applied sciences, graduating in 2026. This thesis is available here too, so feel free to check it out here!

Now, I continue to improve and learn as a game designer by working on personal projects and keeping up with modern game trends, as well as, of course, playing games. The journey as a game developer will always be ongoing. In return, I'm always looking for new ways to challenge myself, hone my skills and create unique experiences for players.
